About The Blog
Welcome to my new website! I am so happy you are here. After about five years of blogging on my old site, righthandwork.com, I have shifted to the generic, yet clean, kristenfcole.com. I hope you like it!
Here's a little about me...I have loved writing and the Lord for as long as I can remember. Constantly seeking His face, I found journaling to be my way of getting to know God on a more personal level. Pouring out my innermost feelings and desires, I found peace and confidence in the act of writing. I also came from a long line of gifted writers, so my leaning towards written expression is actually no big surprise to those who know me best.
I am wife to Stan, 17 years and counting. He is a loving and supportive husband, who is also quick-witted, a computer wiz, devoted father and elder in our church. We met at a Halloween party in costume, he Tarzan and me Little Red Riding Hood.

I am "mama" to three precious children. I have a new teenager! Landon, 13, is as equally quick-witted as his father, a gifted baseball player and a one who has an amazing ability to sense the presence and promptings of the Holy Spirit. Connor, his 10-year-old brother, is really me in a male child form. He is very sensitive, a peacemaker, a tender and loving soul. Lindsay Jane, our 7-year-old daughter, is a true gem, lover of all things little girl with more than ample spice to challenge any boy willing to race her. She is a spit fire and I love it.

I am a pediatric nurse practitioner and have been very fortunate to be able to use my faith in more of a "hands on" way in my career. I have knelt in exam rooms, praying for healing. I have held the hands of mothers whose children would be healed in heaven. I have shared heartfelt sentiments at patients' funerals. I have cried with the mourning. I have laughed with the mamas who realize they are taking themselves just a little too seriously.

I am so excited to see where God takes me on this journey. I am sitting in front of this computer with my palms facing up, ready to be poured into by the Lord so that I can share what He has for me with my readers. It is my hope that through sharing my gift of compassion, while seeking courage from the Lord to do so, you and I can connect in a spiritually formative way together.
